Dr. Martin Potter

Dr. Alvaro Salles

The newest "kid on the block", Dr Potter brings 19 yrs experience to the office. Previous resident of North Bay, Ontario and owner of a successful practice for 12 years before medical problems of the co-owner brought change. Recent dental experiences are mostly working on First Nation reserves both in Ontario on the James Bay coast and in the NWT in the Deh Cho region W of Yellowknife. Dr Potter brings a love for Jazz and sailing to Greenwoods Dental to blend with the already eclectic mix found here.

Dr. Alvaro Salles is a Brazilian native, who moved to Canada with his family in 2009. He brings his 23 years of experience in dentisty to Greenwoods Dental Centres. He enjoys all aspects of dentistry and has background in placing dental implants. Dr. Salles is a class of 1988 graduate from the University of Santo Amaro, in Sao Paulo. He furthered his studies to receive his masters degree at the University of Santos and a PhD at the University of Sao Paulo in 2005. After his move to Canada, Dr. Salles challenged and successfully completed the Canadian National Board Exam in December 2010. He has also worked up in northern Manitoba at Norway House, where he help treat our First Nations people.

Dr. Sherif Elsaraj

Dr. Sherif Elsaraj has completed his under graduate post-secondary education from Carleton University in Ottawa. Shortly after graduation, he pursued a Master of Science in Oral Biology where he worked in identifying cell-signaling pathways involved in oral and cervical cancers. He enrolled into Dental school in 2006 and he is a graduate of the University of Manitoba. In 2011, he has under taken an advanced hands-on training in Temporomandibular Disorders (TMD) and Sleep Therapy in Toronto, London Ontario and San Diego. He has been practicing in Killarney, Manitoba since June 2010 and has recently joined our team. Dr.Elsaraj is described by his patients as friendly, gentle and a very caring dentist. Dr. Elsaraj is currently learning to play the accordion.

Dr. X. Phan is a graduate of The University of Western Ontario, class of 2006. Prior to his move to Winnipeg in the summer of 2008, he joined a private practice in Waterloo, Ontario, where he further developed his skills as an associate dentist. Currently he is in his second year of Graduate Orthodontics at The University of Manitoba. Dr. Phan enjoys all aspects of dentistry and is looking forward to his bright future with Greenwoods Dental Centre.

A passionate and dedicated person in the dental health and education of the younger generation, Dr. Hermann Lee has been practicing orthodontics in Winnipeg for over 22 years. Dr. Lee holds an M.Sc Degree in Biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin, and a DMD and MS (Orthodontics) from Washington University of St. Louis, USA. He also is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Manitoba. Dr. Lee believes in efficiency in treatment and is dedicated to minimize treatment time for his patients. To achieve this he has chosen to use exclusively the Speed System Braces (www.speedsystem.com) or Invisalign (www.invisalign.co m)in the appropriate cases.

Dr. Reem Atout is a graduate of Jordan University of Science and Technology in 2000, and decided to move to California in 2001 where she obtained a degree in dentistry.She practiced general dentistry for a few years in California before she enrolled in graduate studies at the University of Alabama in Birminghamm where she received her Masters in Science and her Periodontal certificate in 2009. She is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Manitoba. Dr. Atout is a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (RCDC) and a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.

Dr. Dheeraj Mittal

Dr D.K Mittal is the sole owner of all 4 Greenwoods Dental Centre locations. He founded Greenwoods Dental Centre on 693 McPhillips St, Winnipeg in 2004 and then successfully established three other offices in Winnipeg, Lundar and Lorette. He graduated in 1995 in India and achieved Canadian accreditation in 1999 after taking advanced restorative courses from University of Western Ontario and succesfully challenging the NDEB examinations. After Graduation in Canada Dr Mittal practiced clinical dentistry for Health Canada for 5 years. Dr D.K Mittal has since then been practicing as a licensed dentist in Canada and has since taken many advanced continuing courses in Laser Dentisty, Implant Dentistry, Intravenous Conscious Sedation, Sinus Augmentation, Nitrous Oxide Sedation, Root Canals and many more.
