Excess gum tissue can make teeth look shorter or look irregular. Gum contouring involves contouring and reshaping the gum line that surrounds one or more teeth. This can be done to one tooth to even your gum line, or to several teeth to expose more of the tooth and creating a more proportional smile.

Esthetic gum contouring also helps when a tooth is decayed or broken below the gum line, which is too difficult for the conventional handpiece to access. Crown lengthening makes a restorative or cosmetic procedure such as a crown or bridge possible. The recontouring is done with our Waterlase laser, which will inevitably be a painless procedure.
